Sell Avon Consistently with Campaign Routine
Those who know me, know I am a creature of habit who lives her life by routine. Routine has been instilled in me since I was a little girl and what helped me when I was married raising 6 kids. Now, being a single mom who works part time & runs a successful Avon business, routine is what helps me be able to manage my very busy life.
Consistently working your business is key in building a successful Avon business. Trust me, I know how easy life can get busy and it’s easier to push things off. But if there is one complaint that I continually here from my customers is how they were not able to depend on their previous Avon representative(s) and because I am reliable & consistent, I have built a loyal customer base, with customers who have shopped with since I began 7 years ago.
Creating a Campaign Routine
Whether you are working your Avon business full time or part time, having a routine in place is going to help you be consistent in your business. In creating a routine, you are not only going to ensure consistency, it will also help you manage your business with ease. Knowing what needs to be done at any given time, it will help you accomplish tasks in a timely manner & help you be prepared. A routine is going to help keep you focused on the tasks that you need to focus on any given day & know that whatever needs to be done will get done. Plus, this will help you have more confidence with your business.
Avon breaks down the sales year with campaigns which are 2 week long periods. Each campaign, a new brochure, products & sales are launched. Below is a 5 step guide on how you can create & implement a campaign routine into your business.
Step 1: Establish Goals
The first step in creating a routine is setting a goal of what you want to accomplish with your business. This will help you create a list of things you need to do each campaign. Having a goal will also help keep you motivated in accomplishing these tasks. Just think of your goal as the destination of your dream vacation & the tasks you do each campaign is the path. In creating a campaign routine, you are creating your own GPS directions to your dream vacation.

Step 2: Create a Checklist
The next step you will want to do is create a list of activities & tasks you need to do each campaign. These are things that you will need to do each campaign in order to keep your business running. Things like:
- Return calls, emails, messages
- Prep brochures
- Sort orders
- Deliver brochures & orders to customers
- Collect order payments
- Follow up with customers & new contacts
- Submit order to Avon
- Pay Avon
On top of the list above, you want to make sure to implement marketing tasks, whether it’s online and/or in your local area.
Step 3: Create a Campaign Routine
Now that you know what you need to get done through out the 2 week campaign timeline, next is actually creating the routine. The first thing you want to establish is when you will be submitting your Avon order within the campaign. By establishing the same “order day” within a campaign is not only give you a jumping off point on how to establish the rest of your routine, but also, it will help with your representative delivery customers will be able to know when orders are submitted & delivered within a campaign. Currently this is what my campaign routine looks like:
WED | THU | FRI | SAT | SUN | MON | TUE | |

Step 4: Implement Routine with a Task App
After creating your routine, probably the most important step is to actually implement it into your day to day life. I will admit, especially if you are someone that doesn’t enjoy routines, this may be rough at first. However, I am telling you, once you have established a routine that works for your business & life, you will appreciate it and it will become second nature.
I recommend utilizing a task app that you can use as your to do list. Whatever works best for you is fine, the only thing I recommend is that you are able to schedule tasks that can automatically be repeated. I’ve used ISO Timer in the past & currently use Microsoft To-Do. Both of these, I was able to create an account where it allowed me to have access to my checklist through my laptop as well as on my phone.
Step 5: Make Adjustments as Needed
I know one main reason people don’t like routines is that it may feel rigid. However, you can easily make adjustments & alterations as needed. You will most likely need to continually make adjustments for a few campaigns until you get to a point that it fits with your day to day life.
Once you have established your routine that you are able to continually follow through with, you want to remember that as your business grows, you will most likely need to make adjustments. That’s a good thing! I personally recommend doing an annual review. Honestly, you should do an annual review & analyzation to ensure that your business is continually working towards your big goal & where you want to take your business.
