Beginner Tips for Over 30 Makeup Routine
Up until about 5 years ago, I was someone who wore minimal makeup. For the most part in my 20’s I was too busy raising kids to worry about my makeup routine. Then, in 2015, I started my Avon business. In order to be able to be a resource for my customers and to know what to recommend & how to use the makeup & skincare, I began doing a lot of research… reading articles on what’s trending, watching tutorials on how to apply makeup, following top beauty influencers on social media. Doing whatever I could to become an expert in makeup & skincare because that is what I was drawn to. I quickly realized a spark was ignited in me and I fell in love with makeup… skincare too… but I was fascinated in how makeup can instantly boost your morale. You can use makeup to express your creativity & allow yourself to be free.
Over the past year I’ve noticed that more and more men & women who, just like me, are now starting to get into makeup in their 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and beyond. Personally, I think it is amazing! But I do know, watching beginner tip tutorials from those who are in their 20’s is a lot different from those of us who are in our 30’s or older. As we age, our skin ages as well. We begin developing fine lines & wrinkles, our skin begins to sag & become lack luster… our skin is not the same as when we were 20 something.
Below I do a whole makeup tutorial where I walk you through step by step on how you too can create a makeup routine that will work for those of us who have aging skin. I also provide some recommendations of products that will help make your makeup routine easier! Yes, that’s right. When you are first starting into makeup, let’s make it easy so you don’t get frustrated & your love of makeup can grow rather than fade away.
