Avon Leadership Tips: Success Tips

Leadership, recruiting, mentoring… whatever you want to call it, this is the one area of my business that I have continued to struggle with up until this year. I have gone up & down in leadership levels. I actually started 2 other teams and then ended up losing them and almost lost this team last year when I was undergoing chemotherapy treatments for Stage III Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.. But this year, I took what I learned from my mistakes and figured out a way to create a leadership business that reflects me. As a result, my point of view on leadership, recruiting, mentoring, is… how should I say this… abnormal I guess we’ll say. Yeah… It’s definitely not the norm.

Avon Leadership

There are 4 leadership titles and with in each title there are 2-4 levels. Once you have 1 representative who joined your team, you will start your leadership journey as a Promoter. Then, as your team grows & your team’s total campaign sales grow, you will move up in leadership.

As you can see, just like with anything, the higher you go, the more earning potential you have with generational earnings, mentor bonuses, promotional bonuses and so on.

What it Means to Be a Mentor

A few years back, Avon updated their terminology and explained what being an Avon mentor is, which is:

• To build strong relationships with your team members by learning about their passions, their why & what motivates them to be a successful representative.
• Share your expertise, success story & what feeds your passion… You are a role model!
• Be ready to help problem solve when representatives come to you for help & help guide her to training tools for success.
• Celebrate each team member’s success.
