As I’ve mentioned in my last weekly blog, I am a mom of a very big blended family. Together, my husband and I have 6 kids (2 his, 2 mine, 2 ours). When my husband & I got married, we both knew that this road was not going to be easy (and we didn’t realize how hard it could get), but we knew as long as we loved all of our children and did our best it would all work out.

Over this past week, I ended up having a fun filled conversation with a couple of my kids (step & bio). As I was listening to them reminiscing when they were younger, it really did make me happy to hear that overall, they did have a good childhood because of my husband & I. We did our best to always show them that they are loved and that we will always be there for them. When I walked away that night, thinking it over, I couldn’t help but feel so much pride. My heart felt complete. At that very moment, I knew that all the struggles & hard times we had faced over the last few years was all worth it because now we are much closer & our bond is so much stronger.
