Avon Mom Top 5 Benefits of Being a Work at Home Mom

I’ve done it all in the last 14 years of being a mom- Stay at Home Mom, Working Mom, Student Mom, Part Time Working Mom and Work at Home Mom. Out of all of these, being a work at home mom is by far my favorite! In honor of Mother’s Day weekend, I have decided to write a blog about my top 5 benefits of being a mom that works at home.

#1. You can create a work schedule that fits around your family’s schedule.

With having my own home based business as an Avon representative, I am able to create a work schedule that fits around my family’s schedule. My husband & I have five boys at home with 4 of them school age. So I am able to work my business during the day while they are at school. Then, once they come home, I am able to focus on just them. I am there to help them with their homework, cook them healthy home cooked meals, take them to the park- be the mom I truly love being! Also, since I have been a work at home mom, I have not missed a school function, game, practice or any other extra curricular activity/school event my child has participated in. I have always been a mom that is involved with my kids school & activities. When I was working outside the home, this was very hard & stressful to be involved as much as I wanted to. Now I am able be the mom my kids deserve and it is my biggest reason & benefit of being a work at home mom.

#2. Have more pride with your work

The one thing I didn’t expect once I started my Avon business was how much more pride I would have in my work. I have always been a hard worker & did my best in whatever job I had. But now that I am working my own business, I have so much more pride & excitement about my work. I don’t dread work!

Since I have become an Avon representative and started my Avon business, I have noticed that I am more confident within myself. The pride I have in earning my own money, with my own business, spills out into my everyday life. I am much more happier, I am able to enjoy life, family & friends with less stress and people enjoy being around me because of my positive energy. Let’s face it people are attracted to those who have that positive energy. The positive energy actually helps me grow my business even more, resulting in me exuding in more positive energy.

#3. Don’t have to pay for child care or babysitting

In 2016, my husband & I got pregnant and had a baby later on that year. With me being a work at home mom, we don’t have to worry about paying for child care or babysitting for him. That expense alone would take up whatever money I would earn at my job outside the home. It just doesn’t make sense to us for me to work just so someone else can take care of our baby. I love being involved in my children’s lives as much as possible and being a work at home mom, I am able to do that while earning the extra money we need to live.

#4. Earn as much money as you want or need– No Sales Cap!

When you are working for someone else, you are working for whatever pay they feel is right. With being your own boss in a home based business, you don’t have to worry about “payroll budget”. You can earn as much money as you want or need. This opens the doors to so many more opportunities, not only for yourself, but for your family as well.

I continually set goals in my business & as a result I am continually increasing my earnings. Knowing where I want to go & creating a checklist of what I need to do to get there.

As an Avon representative, I am able to earn money from selling Avon & by sharing the opportunity with others and mentoring new representatives. I don’t know about you but this sounds damn good to me!

#5. You can take a day off whenever you want

Every time one of my kids comes up to me & says they don’t feel good, I thank God that I am able to take care of them & not have to worry about calling out of work. We have five boys at home, so when flu season hits our home, it’s a guaranteed 2-4 week time that at least one of them is sick at home. I don’t have to hope & pray anymore that my kids only get sick on the weekends. I can be there to take care of them & baby them like I always do when they are sick. Let’s face it, everyone wants their mommy when they are sick- my boys are no different.

What I truly enjoy is during summer vacation when we plan family trips or vacations, I can just go. I don’t have to worry about getting approved or fight over who has what off. When I need to take a day off or go on vacation with my family, I just do it! I know when I was a working mom, my vacation time went to doctor’s appointments & special events. Now, I can actually go on V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N! And guess what! Even if I am on vacation, I still earn money through my FREE e-Store and my leadership earnings. How many jobs do you know where you can take anytime off you want & earn money at the same time?
