Next Chapter
For me, 2020 was the first year I was able to focus on starting a new life for myself & for my boys after my divorce in October 2019 with my husband of 13 years. In spite of all the hardships 2020 brought, I was able to build a sold foundation for my boys and I. My Avon business continues to allow me to work at home & still be able to provide for them financially and most importantly, we have adjusted to a new normal that is once again filled with laughter, love and joy.
I enter 2021 optimistic & excited for all that we have planned between moving into a new home to our trips we hopefully can do to my oldest graduating high school. We have a lot to look forward to. However, if there’s anything I learned in the last two years, it’s that life likes to throw us a curveball. Being told you have cancer two years in a row, it forces you to look at your life & evaluate what you value.
For me, I am ready to start the next chapter of my life. I’m ready to enjoy the fact that I am not living paycheck to paycheck anymore. Of course, being the person I am, I will continue to be a hard worker & will always be dedicated to being the best mom & role model for my boys. However, 2021 for me is going to be discovering who I am outside of that. Who is Jen Antunes as a person? Not a mom, daughter, sister, entrepreneur. A 36 year old woman who for the first time in her life has confidence in herself to be self sufficient & is not depending her happiness upon a man. It is time for her to really start living.
What do you want to accomplish in 2021?
