I’M BACK!!!

Yes, I will be returning my weekly blog series, Being an Avon Mom. I didn’t realize how much sharing my story was not only helping others but also myself until I took the summer off. It’s amazing how sharing your story can have you feel so much better. I don’t know about you, but right now, I could use some relief.

My life the last few weeks have been about the start of the new school year, getting my business ready for the busy 4th quarter, raising a spirited 23 month old who thinks he is 23 along with 3 teens & 2 preteens who think the world revolves around them.  And to top it off, car troubles that seem to never end. The past few weeks, I have been feeling like I am a dormant volcano with 100 years of pressure building up about to explode. I’m not joking, smoke & ashes are come out of my head & this volcano is about to erupt. Sitting here as I write this, I actually am feeling a little sorry for the one who is going to have me erupt. lol

It’s times like these where I wish I could just pack a bag & disappear for a few days. You know I would even be happy for just 1 day. But being a mom & the head honcho of my household (having a little one never leaving my side doesn’t help either), me disappearing would be an ultimate disaster. I would come back, even if it was a day, the house would be a disaster, homework & chores half assed, even if they were attempted, routines messed up and somehow a mountain of laundry is created.

Don’t get me wrong I absolutely love being a mom & love my family but sometimes a girl just needs a moment to take a breath. I know all the experts say that us moms need to make time for ourselves but in reality, it’s easier said then done.

First weekend of October I am going to Avon Holiday event in Portsmouth, NH. My husband is suppose to go with me but I am seriously thinking of just going myself. Awww… just thinking about it sounds like a dream come true. A night to myself…. *Sigh* Heaven on Earth!
