Two years ago today I was pregnant with our youngest. I remember how excited I was to be at the end of my pregnancy, not only because I wanted to meet the lil guy but I was ready to end such a rough pregnancy. Let’s just say I now understand what all the other moms were saying about pregnancy woes.
But just like with my other 3, once I held my baby in my arms & he looked up at me, all the throwing up, the constant nausea, the sleepless nights. They were all worth it!
This Halloween, our baby boy will be turning two!!!!
Where did the time go? It still feels like yesterday I was anxiously waiting for his arrival and now he is becoming a toddler. Here comes the “Terrible Two’s”, the tantrums and my baby learning how to be more independent and growing up way to fast for this mama!
I do have to say he definitely made my last two years very interesting, so much so I even created his very own hashtag… #lifewithlucas. He definitely did not keep my days as a work at home mom boring between pulling out all my pots & pans in my kitchen to his obsession of cleaning the toilet to him acting out his favorite shows with me to our daily snuggles at naptime & bedtime. One minute he will have you wanting to pull your hair out to melting your heart with his adorable “Sorry” as he looks up at you with his big beautiful blue eyes.
I know I have many more adventures, fun days as well as hard days ahead of me but I look forward to all of them. I know first hand how fast time goes when you are raising your children. I made a promise to myself and to my Lucas that I was going to make sure I enjoyed every moment with him, the good, the bad and everything in between. In a blink of an eye, he will be going off on his own and I will be wishing I could go back to these days when I find him sitting on our kitchen floor with frozen goods all around him.’
