Step 1: Join Avon as an Avon Representative

In order to start your very own Avon business you first need to enroll. Don’t worry, it’s as easy as 1-2-3… Literally!

1. Go to www.startavon.com & use Reference Code: jantunes
2. Complete the online contract form
3. Choose your Starter Kit.

That’s it… that is all you have to do!

How to Choose the Right Starter Kit for Your Business

When you join Avon, you will have the opportunity to choose from 3 starter kits. Each kit contains full size products, samples, brochures, business tools & everything you need to start your Avon business.

I’m sure you are wondering what’s the difference then? The only difference between each starter kit is how much you get of everything. The more you invest in the start up of your business, the more you will receive to help you get started. Step 2: Register Your Personal Avon Account

Once you have enrolled online, you will receive a Welcome Email from Avon containing your account number, district number & direct upline (mentor) information. Once you receive this email you will be able to register your personal Avon account at www.youravon.com/us-home.

With your personal Avon account, you will be able to grow, develop & manage your business with all the amazing tools you will have access to such as placing customer orders, access to a social media tool with Avon Social, business tools & sales guides, FREE online training through Avon U, Web Office to manage your customer base, online management tool with VIBE to help you track & work with your Avon team and so much more.

When you are ready to register & set up your personal Avon account:

1. Go to www.youravon.com/us-home
2. Under where it says “First Time in YourAvon.com?“, click on where it says “Set Up Your Account Now“.
3. Input your provided district number, account number in Welcome Email from Avon & last four of your social security number. Then click “Next”
4. Review & agree to Terms & Conditions
5. Complete the set up process

TIP: Make sure when you are choosing a password that is something that is unique but also something you can remember. You will have people’s contact information on your account so make sure you keep that in mind when creating a password.

Once you have completed the registration & completed the set up process, you will be able to login to your *NEW* Avon account.

As a New Representative, you will automatically be directed to the New Representative Center for your home screen. Here you will find a variety of helpful information, tips & ways to help you track your progress as you work the Kickstart Program. Make sure to go through it & see all the available tools you have access to as you start your Avon business.

Personalizing Your Avon Account

Before doing anything else, I always recommend for our team’s *NEW* representatives to go to their profile on youravon.com, verify their personal information & sign up for any programs he/she would like to participate in.

1. Login to youravon.com
2. Click on Profile found on top right corner of your screen.
3. Here you will see all the information regarding your account.
   • See what your mailplan number is & the calendar. To print your calendar, click on See Calendar & then click on the print icon on top right of your screen.
   • Review the Account Settings. To edit, click Edit Settings button & choose:
     • Language Preference
     • Publicity Release Preference: this is to give Avon the “ok” to release your name in any publicity releases, including each campaign when they release list of top sellers & leaders.
     • Paperless Invoice: you can choose to receive a paper invoice with your order or just use the paperless invoice found under your My Account tab on youravon.com.
   • Enroll in as many Account Programs you are interested in (programs I feel are a must are marked with a *): 
     • QuickPay allows you to pay your Avon account through your personal checking account. This program can take up to 2-4 weeks to process.
     • *Direct Deposit Face to Face Earnings: You can register a personal checking account for Avon to deposit any earnings you may receive including any leadership earnings & incentive bonuses you have earned.
     • Savings Plan: You can enroll in a retirement savings plan through Burke Group after you have been active for 6 campaigns & your account is in good standings. Click Here for more information.
     • Lead Manager: Is a program (aka ALMA) for representatives who are Ambassador Level & up to help them gain new leads as well as manage their follow up (I do recommend participating in this once you have reached Ambassador level in leadership, but this is not something you will need right away). 
     • *Online Customer Earnings Direct Deposit: You can register a personal checking account for Avon to deposit any earnings you may receive through your online sales.
     • *Avon Customer Referral Program: Is a tool Avon offers representatives to help them grow their online business. This is for representatives who establish consistency & meet certain criteria. Click on Learn More for all the information.
     • *Email Preference: This where you will decide on what you would like Avon to send you such as notifications, information on incentives, deal of the day & more. Choose what emails you are interested in by clicking on the box next to each choice.
4. Once you are done reviewing all of your account information, go to the left side of your screen & click on “Personal Information” in the list.
   • Review all of the information & make sure it is correct.
   • If there is anything incorrect, make sure to “request change” or “edit” asap so you can ensure your account is up to date & anything Avon sends you will be shipped/emailed to the correct addresses.

Step 3: Set Up Your Online Store & Open for Business Online

If you didn’t do so during the registration & set up of your account, I highly recommend setting up your online store as soon as possible. Once your online store is set up, you can begin sharing it with those you know & have a place for them to check out your new business. They can even start ordering & you can start earning money before you even get your starter kit!

1. Login to youravon.com account
2. Click on Web Office tab
3. Choose Quick Online Setup (Pink box has a lightning bolt in it)
4. Follow setup instructions

NOTE: Make sure when you choose your url, you choose something that will be easy for customers to remember but also unique. Many representatives just use their first name initial & last name. For example, my url is www.youravon.com/jantunes. J for Jen & my last name Antunes. Other representatives have gotten creative with urls like jensbeautyshop or onlinebeautywithjenantunes. This is your decision & as long as another representative hasn’t chosen it, you have the freedom to choose.

TIP: Make sure to review Avon’s Advertising Guidelines before choosing your url, creating your business email & begin advertising your Avon business. You can also find these guidelines on youravon.com.

Once you have completed the set up, your online store is ready to go. Now go & share with all your friends, family, co workers & those you know to let them know you are open for business.

TIP: When you use Email Service Center & Avon Social in youravon.com Web Office, when a customer clicks on the email/post, he/she will automatically be directed to your online store.

Step 4: Complete New Representative Online Training at Avon U

One of the amazing benefits of being an Avon representative & your personal Avon account is your access to FREE online training through Avon U.  There you find a variety of training opportunities for you to help you learn how to start your Avon business & continually build it. You will also be able to enjoy product training so you know how to recommend the right products for each customers wants or needs.

Step 5: Contact Your Mentor

Within 24 hours of joining, you will receive a “Welcome Email” from your mentor. As a member of our team, in my Welcome Email you will find different tips & information that will be helpful for you as you get started. At this time I will also provide a few dates & times that I am available to meet, in person or online depending on your location.

This meeting usually takes place once your kits has arrived & is around an hour long. We would go over your why, how you can use the starter kit & any questions or concerns you may have. By the end of the meeting you will feel much more confident & ready to go.

If for some reason we are unable to meet don’t worry, you will continue to receive training emails, not only from myself but from Avon as well. Also, as your mentor, I will be there to help support & guide you. If you are struggling with anything, I will be there to help you come up with a solution & work through it. Remember…

Step 6: Get Ready for Your Kit & Create that Contact List!

While waiting for your starter kit, I highly recommend creating a contact list. This will help you know where to start once you do receive your kit. Keep in mind everyone you know, whether they would be a good customer or good representative on your personal Avon team.

TIP: Once you begin to talk to people on your list, don’t forget to ask for referrals. Even if they may not be interested, they may know someone who is.
